come ON

After a lovely morning at the Urbana farmers' market, Kasey and I cut through Lincoln Square Mall on the way to pick up some delicious bagels from Schnucks. I wanted to check out the new piano bar there. I'm so glad we did, because we also got to take a gander at the featured pieces in the window of a local studio photographer, including this one:

I know this will mark me as a band dork, but I seriously hate pictures where they show playing the clarinet in some ridiculous pose. It drives me nuts. Clarinets don't have to act like trumpets... really they are much cooler than to stoop to that level.

i was going to say, is it just me or is that a phallic symbol? and then i rethought, considering my literary education, that it is probably in all actuality Christ imagery.

oh i should add that to my list.

i didn't, but i think that sounds like a good thing to scrounge up online on a saturday afternoon. so i'll do it now.
